Dear Blossomwood Neighbors,
Thank you to everyone who joined us at the BVCA’s Annual Neighborhood & General Membership meeting on Tuesday, including Mayor Battle, Councilman David Little, and Huntsville School Board Representative Holly McCarty. A special welcome to our newest BVCA members and members who have renewed their membership. We appreciate your continued support!
There was much interest in the Village Program. Thank you to Delia & Pam for taking time to share their knowledge and experience in successfully implementing the program on Monte Sano, and their guidance as we create an exploratory committee to pursue the potential of the program for our neighborhood. (Respond to this email if you are interested in being part of the exploratory process.)
Thank you to Davis Carter and Dr. Brad Scott for sharing an update on our zoned schools, Blossomwood Elementary, Huntsville Jr., and Huntsville High schools. Thank you to Officers Tucker & Williams for providing a neighborhood update; little to report and crime rates remain very low and are down overall across the city. Blossomwood continues to be a safe and wonderful place to live!
Thank you to Pastor Shirley for sharing a special welcome and the church’s Family Life Center with us. Thank you also to Rick Dillon for preparing the space for our meeting. Below are links to the video recording of the meeting, presentation, and agenda.
