Neighborhood Meeting
Tuesday, April 12, 6:30 PM.
Blossomwood Elementary School Auditorium
Traffic & Storm Water Issues
+ Election of New BVCA Board Members
Following a few opening comments, Dr. Bradley Scott, Blossomwood’s principal, will welcome us all and will share some updates about the school’s activities and plans.
The Program for the meeting includes two important topics of on-going interest to our neighbors – traffic and rainwater runoff.
We are very pleased that two of our City’s Engineering Department experts are our speakers and each will discuss a topic of great interest to us all.
Traffic
• First to speak will be Nicholas Nene, Deputy Director of Traffic Engineering and a Professional Engineer, who will discuss traffic issues and solution along California Street, our neighborhood’s western ‘boundary’. He will also discuss other traffic concerns in our neighborhood.
Rainwater Runoff
• Next to speak will be Clinton Kimbrell, Flooding and Erosion Control Lead and a Civil Engineer, who will discuss rainwater runoff and related flooding issues, all relevant to our neighborhood’s three prominent slopes on our north, east and south ‘boundaries’.
Each speaker will have time at the end of their talk to take a few questions from the audience.
BVCA Board Elections
At the end of the Program, we will conduct an important item of business – the nomination and election by BVCA Members of the Board of Directors for 2022-2023. To vote you must join the BVCA – by making a membership contribution.
Doors will open shortly after 6 PM for sign-in and seating. Please look for the sign-in table as you make your way to the Auditorium.
